Body Image: How Do You View Others?

Body Image: How do you view other people is important in this day and time.

Why?

Technology. As technology has advanced so has the capability to see more flaws and people. Those flaws are being posted on social networks called social network bullying.

Television, cell phones and video cameras have all transfered to high definition which shows everything. It also makes the size of person's body look bigger, smaller, curvy and/or straight.

Entertainers have become more and more in this Body Image War because of all the technology. Standing in line at the store there is always a picture of an entertainer on the cover at the beach either too fat or too skinny. When seeing the criticism of the entertainers it makes the average person who is not an entertainer question their own body image.
How a person looks is not the most important thing. No one ask how is your soul? Are you depressed? No one takes notice of when some one looks sad with the weight of the world on their shoulders, they judge the outside. Most of the time what a person feels on the inside, reflects on the outside.

For example if a person is depressed and feeling low, majority of the time they are not going to look their best. If a person is having some sad emotional feelings then more than likely they are aiming for the high-in-sugar comfort food and alchohol.

Before criticizing how a person looks on the outside, ask how they feel on the inside. Offer words of encouragment, comfort and motivation. Criticizing makes the person feel worse and may cause them to have thoughts of hurting themself. Help first instead of judging. Be careful how you view and treat other people.
