Vision for 2018

As we embark on a new year, many of us have visions of what we want this new year to bring. If the previous year didn't pan out like you thought it should, don't give up. My 2017 didn't quite pan out like I planned either but I'm still hopeful.

When I was reflecting on 2017 and thinking about how it didn't quite go like I wanted, God reminded of a scripture. The Bible says in Proverbs 16:9 "A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord determines his steps." When God showed me this I was floored. I planned but God will determine my steps. I am making steps toward my goals from 2017 but I'm not there yet. I have made progress. I'm believing that 2018 is the year that the plans will come to a finish. God is going to do a new thing.

The two scriptures God showed me to back up what I'm saying is Deuteronomy 8:18 HCSB " but remember that the Lord your God gives you the power to gain wealth, in order to confirm His covenant He swore to your fathers, as it is today."  When God breaks out on us with His blessings, remember that He was the one to give us the power to do it. Keep worship and praise in front of you everyday. Praise Him for the little things as well as the big things. Continually praise His name.

The second scripture is Romans 8:18 "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us." Don't compare 2017 to 2018. Your sufferings from last year can not compare to the glory coming in 2018. God is going to bless you so that He gets the glory.

You are coming out of your dead season! Get ready, get ready, get ready!
