Take Your Positions

Have you ever had one of those days when it seems like you are fighting for your life? It seems like everything around is falling apart. It seems like the best solution  is to go home, lay in the bed with the blanket over your face, and sleep the day away. The only thing that gets resolved is getting sleep.
The best solution is to stay encouraged. Don't look at the problems around you but start looking at things to be grateful for. Say positive things out loud. For example, saying "this too shall pass" will be encouraging to know that the problems are just temporary. "Peace be still" is something I like to say when my mind is trying to worry about something. I refuse to worry and speak peace over my thoughts, then the worry leaves. After the worry leaves I can focus on finding answer by seeking God for the victory. He will reveal the next steps to take if we do not occupy our minds with thoughts of worry or doubt. When we let Him take over the battle, He will provide a victory.

King Jehosphat in 2 Chronicles 20 was facing a battle that seemed too big for his army to handle. This is what God says to him in verses 15-17.

NIV 15 He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. 17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’”

God encouraged King Jehosphat to take your position and stand firm because the battle is the Lord's. I am telling you the same thing, don't let depression sink in your mind. Do not let your current circumstances defeat you. Take your position, stand firm because the battle is the Lords.
