Dark Rooms

Walking into a dark room can be dangerous. It is walking into the unknown. A person has to feel their way around in order to move around the room. A dark room is a guessing game. It produces scary thoughts; fear in a person's mind because at any moment something could jump out. The person could trip over or run it to something that could hurt them.

Many people have dark places in their hearts that they refuse to visit. These places are scary because the person does not know what is going to happen when they enter in. However, these places have to be dealt with in order to be made whole.

The dark rooms is to examine why things happen in a person's life or emotions they may feel that seem to be damaging. For example, if a person has friends or family that they are jealous of for what ever reason; this is a dark place in their heart that has to be examined. The person can turn on the light in this area by digging deep in their thoughts and ask themselves why they are jealous. They should ask why over and over again until they get to the very root of the problem.

Another example is living pay check to pay check. A person who has bad spending habits does not have them because they don't make enough money; something is wrong emotionally. If a person started asking why they buy the things they buy then it would open another space. Why does a person have to buy a new outfit every time they go somewhere? Why is someone buying fast-food when there is plenty of food in their refrigerator?

There is a scripture in the Bible, James 2:19-24 NKJV:

"19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is [c]dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made [d]perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was [e]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only."

People want better for their life and have the faith to believe for better but lack the drive to work for better. The work is examining self to evaluate what has to be removed to get the life desired. There is so much knowledge about any subject, that a person has no excuse to not improve in an area in their life. A person should pray that God will order their steps to the right information that will help to turn on the light in a dark room. All knowledge isn't meant for everyone, therefore people should use discernment to make sure they are listening to the right voice.

Turning on the light in the dark rooms of emotions is a sign of self-love. Many people equate self-love to the physical aspects but there is more. People should love themselves from the inside out, to make sure they are healthy in the body, mind and spirit.
